You will need: 1 litre of water (hot), 1 Kumara, one spoon sugar, 2 ml of oil, a big bowl and 3 small bowls.

Get one big bowl ready. Cut the kumara into 2 parts. Then put the 2 parts of kumara in the bowl, mix the kumara and put one litre of hot water and mix again to get fresher. Start putting oil to get good smell, put sugar to make it sweet. Mix it again. (You can put it in the oven if you want it hotter). Your awesome kumara soup is ready!!! You can make it better if you want!

Guess what!!! At 28th of May 2013 we went to a Marae!!! (WITH CLASS 5D!!! First we went on the bus; while when I was on the bus I was SO excited!!! When we arrived I was very happy that we are at the Marae as a short time!!! When we are all got off the bus we first walked to the Marae then, we took of our shoes and walked inside, then the Hosts Did a speech and we sat down; we did “TeHeModiera that we been training for weeks!!! The Hosts pretty liked it Then we all washed our hands and went to the ding room, the Hosts give us cookies and a cup of juice it was pretty yummy, but a lot of us are still hungry by that, then we did some activities, class 5D did: missing patterns, us room 5B did: koru patterns and colouring with smushing to make it better, when we both swap over we did the same but different activities, after both activities we have to go back to school, then we put our shoes on, and went back to school, then we learned a lot about maori!!!
My holiday recount
In the holidays it was my grandma's birthday, to celebrate my grandma's birthday, we went to the skytower! I was so extited! I quickly turned the computer off and tv off, we even took our big camra! We waited for mum to come to pick us up and Dad! We sat at mum's car and my grandpa sat at my dad's car. I thought our baby Esain (not sure how to spell it) is lucky because he is the first baby to go on the skytower! So he is a pretty lucky baby. I can't eat anything because I have food problems but I relly want to go to the skytower so I continued it. When my little brother ate fish and chips I want to eat them too but I can only eat some chips. when we are fnished, we got to stage 3, It was a viewing stage, the window is as thick as concrete. When we got home I had to eat some bread because i was so hungry!!!

On Saturday, I, my grandma and my little brother went to the gala, first we went to the white elephant, and there were so much stuff! My little brother ran to the white elephant, I just walked to the white elephant with my grandma. We got some toys and stuff, then we went out to pay, it costs $5.00 total. After that we went to the book store there were so much books!!! I dig around the books, and there! I found 5 books I wanted! We went to pay, Mrs Kaur told me $5 or $6 dollars (don’t know how much) and we give the money. Then we went to the hunted house it was SO creepy!!! (No light) But it was the best day ever!
